My assertion that it can take over a game was not absolute- but there ARE different kinds of people that live in cities (ie with strip clubs etc)than those who chose to move away (ie to raise a family). My idea was that such a movement as a player base for a game would be unprofitable and may ultimately transform the game (bc these games are entirely dependent on player base). I personally left the game Second Life because of its sexual content and I know a lot of people in the MMORPGs that I play would not appreciate how such a feature might detract from the "game culture" already established. Ultimately, however, if follows the business trend of what is profitable- and if a player base suffers then profit suffers.
I do agree that it's not absolute- it's just an idea :D

Why would playing a game where there is sex make one a porn addict? Second Life, even though it isn't an narrative game, makes a lot of money even though they have areas where porn may be. Sex certainly hasn't taken over the game. Saying that "wholesome players" will not play those dirty sex games is like saying that people will not live in a city where there are strip clubs, because they "don't want that trash."
